Fyxer alternatives: cheaper, for Outlook, or with your own agent
If you want to leave Fyxer, look at Inbox Zero for the same sort-and-draft approach at a lower price with open code, at Copilot in Outlook or Gemini in Gmail if writing help inside an existing subscription is enough, at Lindy for an assistant that spans many tools, and at Command Mail if your own agent, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Codex, should work in your email with limited permissions.[4][5][6][8] Fyxer is still the stronger pick when you need certifications, a meeting notetaker and drafts that appear directly in Gmail or Outlook.[1][2]
Command Mail is our product. Everything said here about Fyxer, Inbox Zero and Lindy comes from their pricing, home and help pages, read on 2026-10-26. We have not tested these services ourselves.[1][4][6]

01What Fyxer does well
Fyxer works inside the mailbox you already use. You sign in with Google or Microsoft, Fyxer sorts incoming mail into labels or folders and puts reply drafts in your tone into your drafts folder.[1][3] Its Outlook help article explains how it uses folders and categories side by side, so you keep working in Outlook, just with a tidier inbox.[3]
Fyxer does not send on its own. The pricing page FAQ answers "Can Fyxer send emails on my behalf?" with a plain no: Fyxer drafts, you decide what goes out.[1] If you are wary of an assistant writing in your name, that is a clear line.
Fyxer also brings strong security paperwork. The pricing page lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001 and GDPR compliance, with HIPAA available for Enterprise customers, and the security page says your data is not used to train third-party models.[1][2] For a company that has to fill in a vendor security questionnaire, that matters.
It covers more than email. Fyxer records meetings, keeps a running list of follow-ups and promises, and has an AI chat.[1] If you delete your Fyxer account, the FAQ says your inbox reverts to how it was before.[1]
02Why people look for a Fyxer alternative
Price is an obvious reason. Pro is $37 per person per month billed annually and $49 billed monthly; Team is $64 or $99.[1] The free plan costs nothing, but according to the feature table it neither sorts your inbox nor drafts replies automatically; it gives you a profile, briefings, a small chat allowance and meeting notes.[1]
Fyxer now bills through credits. After a three-month launch offer with unlimited credits, Pro includes 3,000 credits a month and Team 6,000 per paid member, pooled across the team. Sorting costs one credit per five emails, including historical sorting, and Fyxer's own Pro example is 5,000 sorted emails plus 25 recording hours plus 25 chat messages.[1] If you get a lot of email and record many meetings, do the arithmetic before you commit.
Some features sit in the Team plan. The feature table puts several inboxes at once and MCP access for Claude, ChatGPT and your own tools at Team and above, and the full API and data storage in a chosen region (EU, UK, US) at Enterprise only.[1] A solo user with two addresses, or one who wants to plug in their own agent, therefore pays at least $64 a month.
And Fyxer is the assistant. The pricing page describes sorting and drafting as Fyxer's own features and its MCP access as a way to bring your Fyxer context into Claude, ChatGPT and your own tools; it does not describe your agent sorting mail there under its own permissions.[1]

04Inbox Zero: the same idea, cheaper and open source
Inbox Zero is the closest match to Fyxer. It sorts and labels mail, drafts replies in your voice, blocks cold email, bulk-unsubscribes and prepares you for meetings; the Plus card adds two email accounts per user and a meeting notetaker, although the comparison table on the same page also ticks the notetaker for Starter.[4] Starter costs $18 per user per month billed annually, or $20 monthly.[4]
The code is public and you can host Inbox Zero yourself. Its home page also lists SOC 2 Type 2 and a free email app for Gmail and Outlook on the web, desktop and iPhone.[5] If you use Fyxer mainly for sorting and drafts, Inbox Zero covers similar ground for about half the price. We did not review whether Inbox Zero can send on its own.
05Copilot in Outlook and Gemini in Gmail: already paid for
Before you add another subscription, check the one you have. If your Microsoft 365 plan includes Copilot in Outlook, you already pay for a writing assistant; Gemini in Gmail needs an eligible Google Workspace or Google AI plan, according to Gmail Help.[12] Both summarise mail and draft text. In Outlook you accept the draft with "Keep it" or "Insert", edit it and press Send yourself; in Gmail you review suggested clean-up actions before Gemini carries them out.[11][12]
They work mostly when you ask. Their help pages do not describe a service that works through the inbox unprompted and prepares drafts the way Fyxer does.[11][12] Plan prices and limits are in our comparisons AI email assistant for Outlook and AI email assistant for Gmail.
06Lindy: an assistant for more than email
Lindy is an assistant that handles your inbox, calendar and many other tools. Free gives you $50 in credits for seven days without a card; after that every active user in the workspace pays for a monthly credit pack, and everyone draws from one shared pool.[6] On 2026-10-26 the pricing and home pages showed different entry prices on repeated loads, sometimes $29.99 for 3,000 credits and sometimes $49.99 for 5,000 credits, so check the price yourself before you buy.[6][7] The home page says nothing irreversible happens without your approval.[7]
Lindy fits when email is only part of the job. As with Fyxer, credits drive the cost, and Lindy is the agent; you do not bring your own.[6][1]
07Command Mail: an inbox for your own agent
Command Mail does not ship its own assistant. It is an inbox you forward your addresses into, and your own agent, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Codex, works in it through the hosted MCP server, the CLI or REST.[8] You pick the model by picking the agent.
You grant permissions one by one when you connect. mail:read reads and sorts, mail:draft writes drafts and never sends, mail:send-approved sends exactly the revision a person approved, and mail:send sends without asking, but only from mailboxes set to auto, with a send key per email, a daily limit and at most 20 recipients.[8] In the OAuth dialog, sending without approval starts unticked.
Each mailbox has an autonomy level: read, suggest, rules or auto. On read the agent changes no mail and sends nothing, though it can still save drafts for approval. On suggest and rules, the agent's archive, spam and category changes are saved as suggestions, and filing into archive folders requires auto; on rules your active rules also apply, and on both levels mail only goes out through approved drafts; on auto it acts directly.[8] That lets you rebuild Fyxer's way of working, where the agent sorts and drafts and you send, or give a single support mailbox more independence.
Several addresses come with Pro. Pro costs €19 a month for the first 100 paying accounts and €29 after that, with up to ten mailboxes, full history and sending; Free has one mailbox, the last 90 days and no sending.[8]
Know the limits. Forwarding is not sync: what your agent archives in Command Mail stays where it was in Gmail or Outlook.[9] To reply from a forwarded address you set up a sending route in the app under Settings → Connections; an agent cannot do this for you.[9] Through your provider's SMTP server with an app password, recipients see your address; for Gmail plus-addresses and aliases they may see the signed-in Gmail account instead, unless the address is set up in Gmail under "Send mail as". Outlook.com and Hotmail cannot use this route. Through the Command Mail relay, recipients see a Command Mail sender address with your name, and replies go to your address via Reply-To. The read permission applies account-wide, so autonomy levels do not separate read access between mailboxes. No certifications like Fyxer's are documented for Command Mail; it is operated by FYN Labs LLC in the United States, and attachments are stored in Cloudflare's EU jurisdiction.[10]
08When Fyxer is the better choice
Fyxer fits when your team should stay in Gmail or Outlook and wants sorting, drafts and meeting notes from one vendor. Folders, labels and drafts show up where you already work, with no forwarding.[1][3]
It is also ahead when procurement or a privacy team asks for evidence. SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 are listed on the pricing page, and regional storage in the EU, UK or US plus contractual terms come with Enterprise.[1]
09When Command Mail fits
Command Mail fits if you already work with Claude, ChatGPT or Codex and want that agent to handle your email instead of adding another fixed assistant. A sorting agent can read but not send, and a second agent can write drafts only.[8]
It also fits when several addresses at different providers, say Gmail, Outlook and a custom domain, should land in one place without a team plan.[8]
10Who Command Mail is not for
If you want to stay in Outlook or Gmail and see sorted folders there, Fyxer or Inbox Zero suits you better. If you need a meeting notetaker, Command Mail does not have one. And if you do not use your own agent, Command Mail still gives you sorting and a morning brief, but not Fyxer's built-in writing help.[8]
11Switching from Fyxer to Command Mail
- Create a mailbox in Command Mail and set up forwarding at your current provider to the private inbound address it shows. Check delivery with a test email.[9]
- Connect your agent to
https://commandmail.app/mcpand grant onlymail:readandmail:draftat first.[8] - Leave the mailbox on suggest for a week and watch how the agent sorts and drafts.
- On Pro, set up the sending route in the app when you are ready to reply.[9]
- Cancel Fyxer only after that. Fyxer says your inbox returns to its previous state when you delete the account; check afterwards that folders and labels look the way you want.[1]
12Which alternative for whom
- Sorting and drafts for less, with open code: Inbox Zero.[4][5]
- Writing help inside a subscription you already have: Copilot in Outlook or Gemini in Gmail.[11][12]
- One assistant for email and many other tools: Lindy.[6]
- Your own agent with permissions per connection and an autonomy level per mailbox (read access stays account-wide): Command Mail.[8]
- Certifications, meetings and work directly in Gmail or Outlook: stay with Fyxer.[1]
As of 2026-10-26. Statements about sending from Command Mail are also based on the app code at commit 5a48c2b (docs/accounts.md, send-routes.ts, route api/addresses/[id]/sending). We have not tested Fyxer, Inbox Zero or Lindy ourselves.[1][4][6]
If you want to try Command Mail: start free at commandmail.app and connect your agent afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Fyxer cost?
According to the pricing page on 2026-10-26: Free $0, Pro $37 per person per month billed annually or $49 monthly, Team $64 or $99, Enterprise on request. After a three-month launch offer with unlimited credits, Pro includes 3,000 credits a month; sorting costs one credit per five emails.
Does Fyxer send emails by itself?
No. The FAQ on Fyxer's pricing page says Fyxer drafts replies in your inbox and you decide what gets sent.
Which Fyxer alternative is cheaper?
Inbox Zero starts at $18 per user per month billed annually. Command Mail Pro costs €19 a month for the first 100 paying accounts and €29 after that. Copilot in Outlook and Gemini in Gmail come with some subscriptions you may already pay for. The products do different things, so price alone does not settle it.
Is there a Fyxer alternative that works with Claude or ChatGPT?
Fyxer itself offers MCP access from the Team plan, so Claude, ChatGPT and your own tools can use Fyxer's context. Command Mail is built for your own agent from the start: you connect Claude, ChatGPT or Codex over MCP and grant permissions one by one.
Does Command Mail have the same certifications as Fyxer?
No. Fyxer lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001, Inbox Zero lists SOC 2 Type 2. No such certifications are documented for Command Mail. It is operated by FYN Labs LLC in the United States.
